Uninstall Adobe Extension Manager CS6 - Not Listed in Control Panel Programs

$

  • Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit
  • Photoshop CS6, CC, CC 2014 installed
  • Adobe Extension Manager CS6 (version 6.0.8.28 installed)
  • Adobe Extension Manager CC (version 7.3.2.39 installed)

I want to delete Extension Manager CS6. According to online documentation, I should: Go to the Control Panel, select "Add or Remove Programs", select "Adobe Extension Manager CS6", and click "Remove."

Unfortunately, when I go to the Add or Remove Programs in the Control Panel, "Adobe Extension Manager CS6" is not listed. If I simply search for "Extension," I only see "Adobe Extension Manager CC". If I search through the list of Adobe applications, it is not listed either.

However, when I hit my Windows Key followed by Q, I can execute "Adobe Extension Manager CS6". I was able to execute the program to provide you with the version number.

I want to delete Photoshop CS6 and Adobe Extension Manager CS6.

Given that I cannot locate "Adobe Extension Manager CS6" in the Programs section in the Control Panel, how do I uninstall it?

I just downloaded Adobe Extension Manager CC.

Adobe Extension Manager CC frozen

Hi,

I have been having some serious problems with the Adobe Extension Manager.

I while ago, I updated from Photoshop CS6 to Adobe Creative Cloud and when I saw my Photshop extensions were not installed in Photshop CC, I launched the Extension Manager CC and was trying to install them to get the extensions in Photoshop.

What happened was, the Extension Manager froze somewhere in the middle of the isntallation and wasn't doing anything for more than 8 hours when I was installing the first extension. The Extension Manager wasn't reacting at all so I had to kill it, and ever since I open it up again the Extension Manager can't load and it gets stuck with the working-clock icon (see the attached image).

After I restart the computer I can open up the manager, however, when I try to install any extension again, it gets frozen again in the middle of the installation and I have to forse quit the app again. I uninstalled it and installed it again, but no change.

The Extension manager was running smoothly on CS 6 but I had no luck with the CC. What is intersting though is when I install extensions not through the Extension Manager as "Subtle Patterns" it's showing in Photoshop and there are no problems with it.

I'm running on Mac OS X 10.8.5

Hope to get some help because I would really need those exptensions. Thank you.

Regards,

Sam

Extension Manager no longer shows applications after update to 7.3.2.39.

I've posted a similar question about this, but wasn't aware at the time that the update was what was causing my applications to disappear from the right hand panel. Only "Other" shows.  I've done just about everything that I've seen in the forums, such as running ExtendScript Toolkit and checking the paths under "Targets" are correct for each application in CC. I've also gone as far as uninstalling everything, running Adobe Cleaner, and reinstalling everything. It worked, and applications were showing up.. until the upgrade of Extension Manager to 7.3.2.39. Right now I'm using an older version of Extension Manager, just so I can use and download plugins that I need. I'm running Mac OS X 10.7.5 currently. Its annoying to have to see that I have an update available in my Toolbar constantly, so I'd like to fix this. I can give you any info you need.

Thanks.

Adobe Application Manager stuck at "About 2 seconds remaining"

I've successfully installed Macintosh CS6, the apps launch and run, and I checked for updates.

There were a bunch of updates for CS6 so I ran the udpater.

Everything seemed to go smoothly but the Adobe Application Manager says the following (see pic below):

Update Progress

Currently Updating Adobe Extension Manager CS6 Update...

About 2 seconds remaining (100% complete)

Can I quit or force quit the application manager? It's been stuck for about 20 minutes. I've launched several apps (post update) and they seem to be working.

Thanks for your help,

Nate

Adobe Extension Manager CC is useless

Hello guys,

Adobe Extension Manager cannot be used for installing extensions on Photoshop.

The problem is nobody can understand how to install the extension. Use case:

1) User installs Photoshop

2) Downloads .zxp file

3) Clicks on .zxp file - the dialog .zxp is invalid extension is displayed

Doesn't matter if it's mac or win.

For example when user downloads .exe or .dmg file it starts to install right away!

Do I need to make my own user-friendly zxp-Extension installer?

How to do it?

Thank You!

Don't have appropriate permissions required to uninstall extension? (GuideGuide)

I'm receiving this message:

"you do not have the appropriate permissions required to perform this operation adobe site:forums.adobe.com"

When I try to uninstall the GuideGuide extension from extension manager.

The extension stopped working after they recently released a new update, so I went to update it, only to be told that I need to remove the old one in order to install the new one. Ok, fine. Then I go to remove it, and I get the above error! I definitely do have the permissions! I'm the administrator! Why doesn't the extension manager know that?

So, what do I need to do? Is there a way to manually remove the extension? I'm currently re-installing the extension manager in hopes that that works.

For others with a similar problem, they've been running windows and just need to 'run as admin', but for me, being on a mac... It seems it's an uncommon problem.

Thanks Adobe Community!

I'm running CS5 (or 5.1?)

Extension Manager 5.5 crashing after one second

Extension Manager 5.5 crashes after one second.  I need to create a barcode for indesign; bought software that says you can create it directly in InDesign. But I can't open the .xzp file. It opens the Extension Manager which instantly crashes with the message "Extension Manager quit unexpectedly." I've tried it many times. I tried re-intalling AdobeExtensionManager5.5All.dmg,but when I click on the "install" icon, I get, “Install.app” can’t be opened. You should eject the disk image."

I'm stuck in an endless loop. Please help, I have a deadline due today. I'm running 10.8.5.

Error. This extension cannot be installed, since it conflicts with an existing one. To install this extension, please remove the extension 'GuideGuide' which has been installed in", then install again.

HTML5 Photoshop Extension won't correctly render input type="range" element (missing handle)

$

I'm working on an HTML5 extension for Photoshop. When I include the HTML5 "range" element (i.e. a slider):

<input type="range" min="0" max="10"/>

...it doesn't render the handle of the slider at all. It's just a horizontal bar. I disabled any extra CSS that's being added just in case that was the issue and it doesn't seem to be. The JavaScript console reports that Chrome v27 is being used inside Photoshop (via Chromium Embedded Framework) and I've verified that that version of chrome supports the range input type.

Any ideas?
