When I try to install extensions into Dreamweaver CC, I get the following dialogue box in the Extension Manager CC:

"Failed to update database. The extension will not be installed."

What may the problem be?

I have been having a bit of an issue in regards to Adobe Extension Manager. I just installed the new CC version, and wanted to install an extension to Adobe After Effects. However, it does not show up on the Extension Manager screen:

As you can see, it shows some of my other CC programs, but not After Effects. I used Adobe Extendscript to print out a log. Can you help me figure out what I need to do to install this extension to After Effects?

Django is a web framework based in Python.

Visual Studio supports Django but doesn't support sftp.

Dreamweaver supports sftp but doesn't support GIT or Django.

Is there a fix?

What I have: CS6 Design and Web Premium on Mac OS X 10.8.5. with Extension Manager CS6 6.0.8.28 (German)

What I want: Install ToolkitforCreateJS_1_0_3.zxp and AnimatedSVGExporter_3_46_0.zxp

What I did:

Albeit the error I was able to install the add-ons by following one of your threads:

- renaming ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE/opm.db to .../opm.db.bak

- after that EM asked me for my AdobeID and rebuilt the opm.db and I could install the wanted add-ons

- unfortunately that messed up my InDesign add-ons (got lots of exclamation marks in EM on standard Adobe add-ons)

- I was unable to (re)activate these marked InDesign add-ons, InDesign was missing important UI elements, etc. and crashed constantly

- the only solution was to reinstall InDesign and update all CS6 apps -> could (re)activate add-ons -> exclamation marks were gone -> InDesign stable again

- I retried installing the zxp-files, but again no chance to install with the mentioned unexpected error.

- I tried to install by CommandLine

- hangs on ~/Library/Caches/TemporaryItems/ZDR004a6e7e.TMP/exman_raw.zip_UNPACK/META-INF/signatures. xml

- Console gives me .Adobe Extension Manager CS6: Warning: accessing obsolete X509 Anchors

- is there a special X509 certificate that needs to be valid and present in the keychain for installing add-ons?

- I tried switching from Java 1.8.x version to my original 32-bit version provided by Apple with no effect

- I read about resigning the add-on with ZXPSignCmd (Version 4.x for CS6) but stucked because I couldn't find a way to sign an existing zxp-file or how to decompile the zxp-file to resign it

- some years ago I was able to install add-ons without problems. Today I'm not able to install any add-on that I tried

Any recommendations besides asking the add-on developer or reinstalling the whole CS?

I have installed my plug-ins into InDesign CS5 using the Extension Manager CS5, the installation is successful. When I select my plug-in entry in the list of installed plug-ins and then click on the Remove button, the Extension Manager displays a progress bar and the line disappears from the list but the plug-in sits there in the Plug-Ins folder untouched!

What's going on? How do I make sure that the plug-in is removed/uninstalled? Is there a log file for errors from the Extension Manager?

2. Remove files below.

I am Adobe Cloud member and working on developing an extension for InDesign. I am using ExtensionBuilder 2.1 as an IDE and ActionScript as development language.

When I perform InDesign's Place, by opening a document and  File > Place.. in the import options, I see "Show list of problem tags before place" checkbox. I can uncheck it and pick a file with tagged text and it does not show me any problems present in the tagged text. I want to achieve this behavior programmatically.

I am importing  tagged text on the InDesign document via 'Place' prgrammatically. I am using below function for this:

myDocument.place(myArray, false);

I understand that options for placing tagged text can be modified by  app.taggedTextImportPreferences  object. But I do not see any relevant function for unchecking "Show list of problem tags before place" checkbox.

The -411 that you can see below means that there was no compatible host application found, but for the previous (402) call there is definitely a compatible host app.

I am running PC with  windows 8.1 64-bit

I have loaded cc 2015 dreamweaver and the extension manager, both downloaded from Adobe Creative Cloud.

REF: Adobe Dreamweaver CC 2015.0 ~ BUILD 7714

If I try and load an extension I get the error "this extension can not be installed, it requires dreamweaver version 6 or greater."

I was trying to load a .zxp extension from PVii.

I have reloaded DW and the EM 3 times now with no joy.

I see this tread here but I see this person was running windows 7, thus it didn't really help me.

Here is a way to check whether dreamweaver 13 is installed or not:

(1)install "Extendscript Toolkit CC" from creative cloud

(3)click "Debug->Run", you will get  informations in "Javascript Console" window at the top right.

(4)check whether dreamweaver-13.0 have been listed under "Targets" section, and they have correct path and exename. You can also paste these output information here. "

Please generate log file

1. Create a file named "ExManCoreLibLog.YES" in "C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Extension Manager CC\Log" folder. If this folder doesn't exist, you can create it first. Please note that Windows will hide file extension at default, so please click "Organize" -> "Folder and search options" -> "View" in Windows Explorer, then uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types" to make sure this file doesn't has hidden ".txt" or other extensions.

2. Launch Extension Manager CC.

3. After the launch finished, close Extension Manager CC.

4. The log file ExManCoreLibrary.log can be found in the same folder.

Gostaria de obter alguma ajuda com o Extension Manager CC 2015, os programas não estão aparecendo na lista mesmo instalados... já tomei todas as providencias que eu encontrei nos fóruns da Adobe e não tive nenhum resultado. Eu consigo instalar manualmente esses plugins ou perdi todo meu investimento?! Esta situação é bem estressante e desnecessária, causou reflexos na minha vida profissional e estou desesperado por uma resolução. Se alguém souber o que fazer por favor me ajude.

Nous avons dans notre parc informatique, des configurations MacOS contenant à la fois du CC2014 (pour InDesign) et CS6 (pour Photoshop et Illustrator).

Nous devons assez régulièrement installer et mettre à jour des extensions .zxp sur ces postes.

Pour cela, nous installons l'extension une première fois avec Adobe Extension Manager CC2014 pour InDesign puis une seconde fois avec AEM CS6 pour Photoshop et Illustrator.

Ce type de configuration concerne plus de 200 postes et cela devient assez gênant à installer manuellement.

J'aimerais savoir si il était possible de déployer ces extensions à distance en créant un script par exemple.

Le but est bien entendu de pouvoir installer sur une même machine, la même extension sur les deux versions CC et CS.

Nous utilisons essentiellement du MacOS 10.10 et 10.11.

Pour le déploiement, nous utilisons actuellement Apple Remote Desktop.
